A Historic Success

Norwich Writers' Circle committee member Sally Newton has had her novel The Mouthy Prince published.

The adventure story, which is set in 25AD, is centred on Caradoc, the youngest son of the king of Britain, who - against his will - is traning to be a druid.

Caradoc really wants to be a warrior, like his father, uncle and brothers. So when Gwyfina, a druid healer and the girl he can't stop thinking about, is chosen to be sacrificed he is determined to save her . . . whether she likes it or not. Escaping from the all powerful Druid Order is easier said than done, and Caradoc will have to learn to survive in the wilderness, battle slave-traders and assassins, poisons and traitors, if he is ever to get home. Winning over a devout and feisty woman 3 years his senior isn't exactly easy either. But whatever the obstacle Caradoc will never give up, and in facing all these challenges he will take a step towards the man he will become.

The Mouthy Prince is the first in a series of books, and we were given an exclusive sneak preview of the exciting forthcoming sequel at our most recent Manuscript Evening.

The newly-published novel is now available to buy at Amazon, and will soon be able to be purchased via Tesco's online bookshop.

Congratulations Sally - we look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.
